When watching episode 16 of Soul Eater, I noticed something was.. SLIGHTLY ASKEW with some of the subtitles.

Yep. That's right.

I got subtitle!cracked.

The first watching of it resulted in me being like 'WHAT THE FUCK!?' and the second, I noticed there seemed to actually be a cohesive sort of story behind these subtitles.

I WILL NOW PRESENT TO YOU, THE ALTERNATE VERSION OF EPISODE 16 OF SOUL EATER.

I didn't screencap every last bit but I will fill in the lines/general idea of what was going on as it was being presented like this.

The first part of the ep was normalish.

But here, it begins.

Our protagonist Death the Kid is shown skateboarding IN MIDAIR over the ocean because he's a BAMF. And the child molester sun - as DTK himself referred to it in a screencap which HAS GONE MISSING ON ME - ? It's so symmetrical that he gets a little carried away.

He's even speaking in rainbows.

Until Crona flies past with A BRAND NEW PAIR OF WINGS courtesy of Ragnarok, Inc. Death the Kid's rainbow reverie is shattered, so he offers a very pressing question to everyone.

DTK YOU KNOW IT'S MORE UNUSUAL TO FLY AROUND WITH A SKATEBOARD THAN WINGS, YOU KNOW?

I suppose this was meant to serve as an introduction to our first protagonist in the story.

Now, on to our second.. uh.. pro..tagonist...?

Medusa, the school nurse, is doing what she does on a typical sort of non-evil day.

Maka comes to see her with an illness so Medusa shows off her vast diagnostic expertise.

Medusa is clearly jealous that she herself does not have laserbeam powers resulting from inflammation of the eyeball.

Medusa is quite pleased after unlocking one of medicine's greatest mysteries, however Maka has something else to say about this.

Maka leaves, getting in one last jab, although no one knows who this Melia is, either a pet name for Medusa or maybe it's an imaginary friend of hers that chills around Medusa and gives her crappy medical advice that Medusa takes credit for.

WHO KNOWS?

But then Stein dropped in, and there was lots of small talk about, you know, the usual. Maka. Accusations of being a witch.

THE USUAL THING THAT A SUITOR WOULD DO.

But little does he know, Medusa is soon to be wed.

She does, so she offers some form of condolences.

'TO BE WED?' you say?! TO WHO? WHEN? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

Stein suspects something, and it takes Sid serving as the stage manager to get his ass in gear.

Meanwhile, Medusa chats it up with Eruka (who for some reason she refers to as Elk even though Eruka's animal is a frog, not an elk. MAYBE IT WAS A VERY ELK-LIKE FROG WHO KNOWS)

Medusa hopes all she did was talk to him. But who is this mysterious boyfriend? Hint - Medusa is not sexxing up the building every night even though this cap would lead you to believe that's the case.

But I bet it made her think twice about that unprotected sex, didn't it!? As a school nurse who preaches about condom use, she doesn't believe in taking her own advice.

At least she still wants to go along with the wedding. Otherwise? Her boyfriend would be crushed.

(Another hint: Medusa's boyfriend is not the sun. It was previously stated that the sun's inclinations renders Medusa way too old for him.)

So all is well there and Medusa prepares for her wedding.

Meanwhile, there are forces at work that don't want this wedding to happen.

Sid and Nygus, just chilling outside of Medusa's.. uh.. bridal suite are trying to gather information, and Sid attempts to brainstorm ways to stop the wedding from happening.

Including suggesting 'I'm going in' .. to Medusa's boyfriend.

To which Nygus warned 'Be careful.'

Why should he be so careful? NYGUS. ANSWER ME THIS.

SO MEDUSA MIGHT BE DATING A TRAP. Or what Nygus thinks is a trap. I think Nygus got her definition of trap mixed up unless that could also be someone that appears male but is stashing female parts.

Sid seems to be distraught at the idea of traps, so they look around some more.

The eyeball is the priest. Or a witness. Or maybe Medusa just likes this creepy stuff at her wedding, the kinky devil that she is.

Yet you do it anyways, Sid. Yet you do it anyways.

Eruka meanwhile notices something's up and sends in some bombs to stop Sid and Nygus from their WEDDING-MEDDLING AFFAIRS. They go off, Sid and Nygus scatter, and all is well.

For now.

You tell 'em.

But still. What of this mysterious boyfriend? Who is it?

Maybe Shinigami can help answer these questions.

Can it be?

Do I even need words for this one? I can't manage them. I really can't.

SO NOW WE KNOW WHO THE BOYFRIEND IS.

EVEN SHINIGAMIS NEED TO WRAP IT UP. DTK, seriously, condoms can be symmetrical too.

As the father of the groom, Shinigami has some fantastic pre-wedding advice for his son.

And our story concludes, with a question that only time itself will be able to answer.

First off?

Unlike the HMD memes so far so might as well give this a shot.

Basically, i want honest opinions of my characters. Haruhara Haruko (vespaed), Adam Monroe (oh_immortal), and Angela Petrelli (musthavesocks), and I want to take away any form of feeling hesitant to do so 'cause I'm a mod or something like that. Which, if someone told me my characterization sucked and I knew who it was, I wouldn't get all wanky and kick anyone out anyway because that's just not how I roll. I want to improve. I'm probably going to respond back, asking for clarification if need be. Either tonight or when I get these. Work schedule FTMFL.

I want to feel less hesitant about jumping in with my characters at places for thinking that they fail and all the positive feedback I got is only because I'm a mod and people aren't sure if they can be upfront without me freaking. I've had enough negative, however, to know that my characters might just be a problem that needs fixing.

I.. would not freak about that, the truthful feedback thing.

But just so everything's fairly comfortable here.

Give me what you have to say. If by some strange chance I screwed up with turning on anon/turning off ip logging, just tell me and I'll fix it. I followed the instructions so it SHOULD be fine but in the off-chance.. I want to do this right.
